Who Left the Newspaper in Their Pants Pocket?
I went to switch the laundry today and there is paper covering EVERYTHING. Now I have left my share of papers in my pockets and then washed them but this was ridiculous. I may as well have paper machete-ed the entire load of laundry. I emptied the load into the dryer and what do you think I found at the bottom of the washing machine? A hardback library book cover. Just the cover. It was the book Jared had checked out "The Amazing Adventure of Kavalier and Clay." I think it's around 500-600 pages long. It completely disintegrated in my washing machine. Now I don't know how it got in my washing machine, but I am really not looking forward to paying the library for it. I'm really hoping it ends up being a once in a lifetime experience.

Wow. That sucks. Did your lint trap totally overflow?
Yeah, I have had to change it a couple of times during the drying cycle.
It took loads and loads of laundry before I got all the tea out of my washer and dryer!
I laughed right out loud when I read this post. I glad weird things like this happen to other people too and not just me. Joshua put the remote to our DVR in the toilet a few weeks ago. No amount of drying it out helped. Thanks to Amy and Brett who had an extra Direct TV remote, we are back in business. Then a few days ago, I was taking the trash liner out of our trash can. It felt really heavy, so I decided to explore. I found an unopened bottle of rice vinagar, a can of soup, 2 pencils, and a caculator. Joshy is such a help. People wonder why we keep our trash can in the pantry now. That's why.
James and i also laughed out loud when we read this last blog. You are a funny writer! We have washed our share of things but never a whole book. We have found out that DS gameboy games can be washed and they do not break but all food from pockets does disintegrate. What is the best is used kleenex from pockets. It lightly covers everything. Even the dryer doesn't get rid of it. Gotta love pockets!!
Wow, a whole book! That's a first. I think I would prefer that to a red ink pen on white garments. Brent had pink garments for quite a while. He looks good in pink.
