I guess it's just been a broken week Angela.
I had Abi up on the sink in the bathroom so I could do her hair and she grabbed a razor that I didn't notice was on the counter. I took it from her but it was too late. Her thumb was bleeding everywhere and she started screaming. It was bleeding so much that I couldn't even tell how big the cut was. She wouldn't let me touch it, so I grabbed a big wad of toilet paper and put it around her thumb. When Abi couldn't see the blood she would calm down and just wimper but it kept bleeding through the toilet paper and she would see it bleeding when I switched the bandage. It finally stopped and I was able to put a bandage on it. Abi kept pointing to the bandaide and crying "I broken, I broken"
That was on Sunday, needless to say we were late after for church. It's been 5 days and Abi was looking at her thumb and started crying again about it. "I broken"

I was asked to coach Scout's soccer team this week. I said yes but I am apprehensive. I don't know the first thing about soccer or about coaching. The more I think about it the more stressed out about it I get. I am not the make a decision without consulting everyone else first type, but it's up to me to chose where and when and how long practices are. With us being the "new" ones on the team I worry about everyone else being annoyed because I am not doing it the same way they did it last time. On the other hand I think that they can't really complain because all of them had a chance to sign up to be the coach before I did and none of them wanted to. So I am just flying by the seat of my pants and hoping it will all work out in the end.
On the other hand I am really excited. I remember having my mom as a coach when I was little and I want my girls to have that experience. I want my kids to remember me being actively a part of their childhood and look forward to this as a bonding experience.
Scout is so excited to be on a soccer team. When we got her uniform she immediately tried it on and wanted to wear it everywhere, saying it was her "library uniform" so it would be ok to wear it there. I hope that she ends up really liking it because she needs something that gets her up and moving instead of just sitting all day- on the computer, playing video games, watching t.v. and reading.

Arby's confusion
Today we had a family outing to Temple Square. We rode trax up and spent the day at the church museum, the visitors centers and the conference center. We had a great time.
Before we left Orem we stopped at the Arby's drivethrough for some sandwiches. As we were driving down the road eating Gracie asked what "pony sauce" was. She went on to ask "Why did daddy ask for Barbie and Pony sauce?"

Scout is so quiet in groups that sometimes I wonder if she is making friends. Lately we have found out that she is. The kids do a writing workshop at school where they can choose to write letters to their friends in class. She has been coming home with "love" letters from a couple of the boys in her class. The most recient ones have been from Caleb. He wrote a letter to her that said "Scout, I love you." When we read them out load she just beams. If you ask her if he is her friend she always says that all the kids in her class are her friend. Yestarday was Valentine's Day. Scout had her Valentine's party at school. On the front of Caleb's Valentine to her it said "To Scout From Caleb You are cyoot" (cute)
When it comes down to who her best friend is, Scout always says it's Cooper. He has sent her letters too, even before they were writing them at school.

Abigail has been showing quite a personallity lately. She has taken to finishing people's sentinces. Yestarday Grace was playing and started to say, "We have a safety violation. No babies can touch the slippery soap." But Abi interrupted her. So what really happened is Grace said, "We have a safety violation. No babies..." and Abi yelled "Allowed!"
Then today I went to change Abi and she said "No. Scout." So told Scout that she can change her. Scout yelled no and ran to the other room. Grace did the same thing. So of course Abi copied them and ran to the room where they waited. Scout laughed and said to Abi, "You are so so so..." and Abi said "Cute." Scout was going to say silly but cute certaintly works too.

Today Grace was spotlighted in primary. As they were reading the clues about her she kept looking around at everyone else sitting down and she started to get more and more excited. She looked back at Jared and me in the back and pointed to herself while mouthing "Is it me?" She leaned over to her teacher and said "It's me!" When they asked if anyone knew who it was she jumped up with her hand raised and yelled "IT'S ME!" and ran to the front. It was very cute.
Grace loves being in primary. She was so excited to be a Sunbeam this year. Her teachers say they are glad she is in the class because she is the only one that answers any of the questions in class.
