The Countdown's On

It has actually be going on for the last 56 days, but now that our trip is getting close everyone is getting excited. There is a debate in our household about how to count the number of days left. I say, as of today, Tuesday, there are 8 days till we leave next Wednesday. Jared insists that there are only 7, which is smaller and which is also the countdown the girls have been using for the last 56 days. Personally, if there is only one day left then the next day you should be leaving. I got confused about Jared's reasoning for there only being 7 days left and will leave it up to him to add his justifications to this post.

Hi gang! Jared here. I've always wanted to say hi gang. I've heard that on tv but never in real life. But I digress.

So here's my reasoning. On monday we will say there is 1 day left. That 1 day will be tuesday. See? Simple! That's the last day we have to go through before we leave on wednesday.

P.S. I've actually been counting down the days since 93 days left.

P.P.S Don't tell Brittney but the real reason I've been counting that way is that when I first started counting down the days I used a countdown clock on the internet where you put in a date and it tells you how long until then. I only recently discovered that when it was telling me that there were oh, let's say 8 days left, below it it would say something like "and 19 hours". But by this point I'd already argued for my way of counting down. Stupid internet.

I also always say one day less but then say "and the rest of today", but it's not a full day so it doen't really count does it? Have a Blast!

You ever watch that Seinfeld episode when they go to Florida? they keep trying to estimate when they can leave and go back home.

"Well, we do have like 5 days... but you sleep about 8 hours a night, right? so that's really more like 4 days, and eating flies right by... you do that a few times a day, there's even less time to wait really. Then the travelling back and forth, that doesn't really count..." Then with in a few minutes they decide its really only gonna be a few hours... when you really think about it. LOL

I hope it feels like forever until you get to go! (But that's just cause I am totally jealous.)

I am pretty sure the kids think it is taking forever. Every morning they tell me that they want to go to Disneyland today.

Exactly 5 days from this minute I will be leaving work so we can head out. Not that I'm paying that much attention or anything.

The kids are almost as excited as I am.
